Play the Game Read the Story is your local Central New York retail store and game event center for traditional non-video games, hobby modeling, graphic novels, and comic books. We are more than just a “store”. We are an event center and meeting place for gamers, and comic book fans. Although we stock thousands of games and comic book titles for sale, we also have hundreds of square feet of dedicated floor space for game demonstrations, tournaments, and casual play. This aspect is what sets Play the Game Read the Story apart from the rest. We not only provides the products you want to enjoy but the environment and community in which to enjoy them.

I love this place!! The staff is very helpful every time I go in. The selection is always amazing on the comics, trade paperbacks, board games, trading cards, funko pops and other assorted collectibles. The prices are good and the membership card is definitely worth the price!! They also have an amazing selection of supplies to store, collect, and keep your comics and collectibles safe and organized with. Two thumbs up!!
